Each year, AAF Pittsburgh and Ad 2 Pittsburgh brings our community together by hosting a few signature events. These events may or may not be one of our favorite perks of being a member! From educational series’ to just plain fun, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy.

thePitch is a one day advertising competition for college juniors and seniors interested in a career in advertising. Taking place at agencies across the city, students have the opportunity to be mentored by professionals and come up with their own advertising strategy for a real life client. Each year, familiar faces in advertising compete behind the bar to raise tips for their favorites charities. The top earner gets to donate all tips raised at the event to their charity of choice, and takes home the Celebrate the Chiefs trophy!

The American Advertising Awards is one of the industry’s largest creative competitions, attracting nearly 35,000 professional and student entries each year through local club competitions. The mission of the American Advertising Awards is to recognize and reward the spirit of creative excellence in advertising. JUICE is a monthly happy hour, held on the first Wednesday of every month (holiday restrictions may apply) organized by American Advertising Federation Pittsburgh and Ad 2 Pittsburgh. JUICE is an event for advertising professionals from marketers, creatives, media specialists, producers, strategists and vendor partners who share a passion for advertising and the important role it plays in the continued growth of Pittsburgh. You do not have to be a member to attend.

The AAF Pittsburgh Hall of Fame awards are held bi-annually and is a time to remember, celebrate, and honor the people in our business who made it more than just a business. This includes people who have a lifelong passion for doing great work. AAF PGH AdWeek will be celebrated bi-annually and is designed to be jammed with speakers addressing a multitude of topics of interest to our community, as well as networking events.  This multi-day conference was kicked off in celebration of our 100th Anniversary in 2023.

The funds raised from our auction are essential to meeting our commitment to serve our members and advertising community. These proceeds contribute to our ability to go beyond regular club functions and invest in initiatives that encourage diversity and elevate our profession within Pittsburgh.

Outlook is an annual event in which we gather a few marketing and advertising experts for a meeting of the minds and a panel discussion to get their opinions on where the state of marketing and advertising is headed in the year ahead.

Each year, Ad 2 Pittsburgh hosts an annual night of networking fun and games. We pick a spot in the city that has plenty of arcade games to choose from and challenge our advertising friends to a friendly competition. If games aren’t your thing, spectating is always welcome over good food & drinks.
